ovulation for five days?!

I've been doing basal temps, cm, and ovulation tests. Since the 15th day of my cycle (my usual ovulation day). I usually take tests until I get a negative after my temp raises. I usually only ovulate one day a month. Well I've been ovulating for 5 days now. My basal temp is 97.8 and I've had five very dark ovulation tests. I asked my doctor she said "have sex". Ugh I am but I'm worried about what's going on!! Anyone know? Sorry for the novel.
