How long should you wait to announce a brand new pregnancy?!! I am only 4 weeks but I am thrilled!!! are you supposed to wait a certain amount of time???

People say wait till you know it viable or hear a heartbeat or even out of the first trimester. I lost my nanny just hours after my BFP and it made me realize- every single life is worth celebrating. No matter how long that life was with us- 70 years or 7 minutes. Life, especially in the world of TTC, is life and should be loved and cherished. You tell who you want, when you want. If something awful should happen then you have the support of all you told and I think that's just as important as celebrating...

I waited until after we had our first scan to make sure everything was okay. Plus I was paranoid that something was going to go wrong. I was 13w4d when I had my scan, announced later that day 😊

I waited until we were in our 2nd trimester to say anything. I had a chemical miscarriage back in 2013  and announced the moment I got my bfp an later regretted saying anything. You can choose when to tell people, but just keep in mind that if anything were to happen do you really wanna go back an tell everyone that? I'm not saying your gonna miscarry I'm just saying anything can happen. Once your in your 2nd trimester your in a "safe zone"

There is no rule on how long to wait. People just do because they worry the pregnancy may not stick & then would have to tell a lot of people the sad news. Really it is what you are most comfortable with. I announced my first at 6 weeks 3 days after I found out there was a heartbeat since I had a previous miscarriage & was just happy to have made it that far I'm a pregnancy.
