Where do i start?

My fiance and I are getting married in April of 2016. He thinks it's too early to start planning, but I don't even know where to start or when. I want it to be the best day ever!! :) I also want it to be a fun wedding (I will be 19 and he will be 20, so we're kinda young)

Usually after picking the date the first things you work on are 
-picking the wedding party
-picking the colors 
-setting a budget (very important) 
-picking and booking the venue (the earlier you book the smaller the payments usually are)
-starting to try on dresses so you can narrow down exactly what you want

Start now. I am getting married this April and have been planning since jan 2014 and still feel like i could have used more time. More than anything else i say find a venue. Everything will move around that.

Go to hobby lobby and get a wedding planner binder. It had checklists and timetables ways to save in it. I'm 3 weeks in and we have our rings, my dress, our venue, and photographer. Never too early. Do what you can and save yourself from having to cram.

On average it takes like 12-18 months to plan a wedding. Plan to your heart's content.
