Dysphoria and doctor's appointments

c★★★ • he/him
Long story short, my family isn't very accepting, so I can't be out. My dysphoria is getting to the point that the combination of that and the anxiety associated with it is gonna kill me if I don't find a way to deal with it. I think a large portion of my dysphoria comes from the length and severity of my pms symptoms. I've been thinking lately about trying to get on some form of birth control that might help, but it's hard for me to talk to a regular doctor, let along a gynecologist. Is anyone using a form of birth control that helps with their dysphoria? Some encouragement and/or advice about sucking it up and talking to a doctor would also be appreciated.
