Love languages

I'm pretty vocal about expressing my needs to my husband. Maybe a little too much. And, that could be the problem. But, when I tell him I need to hear you say "I love you"; or to give me compliments when I dress up; or, be more affectionate-- his response is "I already do!" to which I say, if you do it then why am I asking you to do these things?!

I get it he's not inherently vocal or expressive but there should be a little give and take, right?! I also should probably get his way of showing his love for me is by acts of service. But, I really do need to hear him say these things, too. We are still relatively new in our relationship...will these things change or do I need to accept and be more understanding of him?
