Clothes that equal confidence

I wore a crop top that my mom approved, but her boyfriend said he didn't like it and now they say I can't wear it because of my boobs buy boobs are fully covered, but they're big. The problem is that shirt makes me feel good about myself, this is among other clothes I own. "Too short, too tight, etcetera" but I always make sure not to show too much so I keep it tasteful. And I'm leaving the house soon for college. Do you think my mom should be capping my self expression and confidence like this?
