How do you check your IUD? I know the basic gist of it but cant seem to feel anything so im not sure if im doing it wrong or if it might have moved. I got the IUD placed March 20th. The doctor had me feel a piece of the string so o could recognize it when i did the self-checks but like i said, i cant feel any string up there. So how do you ladies do your checks? Do you lay down? Standing one leg up? Where do you normally find the string? Is it up against a wall or does it just stick straight down from the center? Sorry if this is all TMI. I was using my index finger to feel for it and i basically had my whole finger in there, i felt what i assume is my cervix but no string.

If any of you ladies have had an IUD move out of place, did you have any symptoms? Or how did you find out besides not being able to find the string?
