Will I feel better if I throw up?

Question

I have been nauseas constantly for a few weeks but today was the closest I've been to actually throwing up. When I've had stomach bugs before I feel like once I throw up there's a bit of relief and the nausea subsides a bit. Wondering if it'll be the same with pregnancy.

Have you thrown up yet? If so did you feel any better after?

Sometimes yes and sometimes no I drank a ton of sprite to settle my stomach

I made myself throw up thinking the same thing and it's just a different kind of discomfort afterward. I will say once you throw up the first time, it doesn't take much to trigger it again. Once I got over the hump and got some medicine, I felt better and although I still feel nauseated a bit almost every day, I haven't thrown up.

For me, once it gets really bad I find that throwing up makes me feel a lot better.

(TMI)Personally, when I have puked, it's been small amounts where it seems like whatever was upsetting my stomach was the only thing that came out. I've only had one time be a significant amount and actually empty my stomach.

Been living off sprite and crackers the past 2 days. Can't hardly keep anything down. It sucks either way. After I throw up I feel better for about 10 minutes before it comes back.

Well you'll feel better for a couple of minutes but then feel just as bad again.

In my experience nausea on its own is a blessing... no running to the nearest toilet/ sink/ bucket/ bin .....

Usually not. When you have a bug, getting rid of what's in your stomach resolves what's causing pain and discomfort (at least temporarily), but hormones cause the stomach ache during pregnancy, so it usually sticks around :/

If I had eaten something and my pregnancy disagreed, then throwing up felt better, but if I was running on empty then it didn't make it feel better, just make my mouth taste terrible. XP

Last night I had been gagging for around 30 mins and i just felt miserable so i went to the bathroom and made myself throw up once and it just kept coming and i felt so much better afterwards. I know thats not good to do to yourself but I was desperate

With morning sickness it just comes and there is no stopping it, if your going to be sick, then it's coming! The joys of pregnancy! I was lucky and only had nausea as sickness is a lot worst! To stop me feeling sick I drank water and ate dry crackers or ginger biscuits! Good luck & hope you feel soon ❤
