underage drinking

My boyfriend and I are both 16 and recently he's really wanted to try drinking because all of his friends do. Every time I tell him is not a good idea he gets mad at me and goes off and tells me maybe I should date someone who doesn't do want to do that. We've been dating for a year and it's really a big turn off to hear him want to drink and such a young age but I'm starting to think maybe I should give it a shot too if everyone else is doing it. I don't know if I should consider breaking up with him or just let him do his own thing.
