Raspberry leaf tea???

Question

How many ladies drank raspberry tea to encourage contractions and went into labour? My friend did this and it worked for her and my midwife gave me the go ahead to start drinking it I'm also taking evening primrose oil 1000mg per day and walking for at least an hour a day

I asked my MW and she said to start only after 37 weeks as she doesn't want to encourage early labour. I am a FTM as well so hopefully it will help me lol. I heard FTM labour is usually 10-12 hours labour min according to statistics as verbalised on my antenatal classes... got us all FTM in the room real nervous lol - everyone face just dropped lol

I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea since week 34 and it has done nothing so far (I'm 36 weeks). I was told it won't cause labor to start, but it will strengthen your uterine muscles, making contractions more effective. I've also been taking 1000mg of EPO a day to ripen my cervix, but no idea if it's working or not. I think I'll be having a cervical check at my appointment on Monday, so maybe there will be some progress from 0cm at 32 weeks (I wasn't checked at 34 week appointment).

Red raspberry leaf tea doesn't induce labor it tones the uterus and in doing so can make contractions stronger and more efficient, works the same with bh contractions. For the red raspberry leaf tea it usually takes about 6 weeks to be truly effective but you can drink 3 cups a day.

I am 32 weeks and just purchased some. I haven't tried it yet. Do you ladies add anything like honey or drink it straight? How is the taste?

Thank u for the responses I'm 36 weeks I'm on my second cup of the day already had my evening primrose oil and used my breast pump for 10 mins each boob! Seems to of done something but not very strong so doubtedly will go into labour yet (I got approval to do all this from the midwife before I started to) baby Is measuring at 6lb at the moment and doing well, she's heavier than my daughter was at birth! I guess all I can do is c if she arrives within a couple of weeks lol

I started drinking it 4 days ago nightly and I'm 32 weeks tomorrow... it's already initiated pretty good contractions. It doesn't induce labor.... but does prepare the uterus. I'll likely skip today because last night my cramping was intense and this is my second... I don't want to risk too much activity in thebuterus right now.
