Afraid of miscarriage

I had some brown clumpy discharge and light cramps. Went to the er they said everything is where it needs to be right now and to just watch it and have hcg levels retested in 48 hours. The heart rate was 108. Is that low? Is that a bad sign? They won't say yes or no.
