Anyone freaking out a bit over savings? I'm 35 weeks so hopefully will be able to work for another 5 weeks, I currently have $15,000 in savings and I do live in Canada so I will get EI while I'm off but finances make me so nervous!! Who can relate?

Can't relate. We have $1500 saved, and we live in the US. Wish we had another zero at the end of that amount.

Also an American bee. We have about 10k saved but there's no maternity pay here. Consider yourself lucky!

Mmmm  not much saved but minimal consumer debt.  We put a budget in place for 1 income.  We put all our extra on our debt so we could just live debt free other then our mortgage and motorcycle payments.  Canadian so we will get EI.

Somehow I feel at complete peace with this situation lol.

It's daycare costs that scare me lol

I'm in Canada too, I have savings for my first son but I don't make enough to have much saved for mat leave. My partner makes enough for us to get by, plus my EI and CCB will cover the rest.

I have about 12,000 saved but will also be putting my disability and bonding paying into savings. So I'll have close to $20k saved for emergencies.
