How involved in the TTC process is your partner?*

Question

*Aside from the obvious way......

For example:

Is your experience with TTC a joint effort or are you on your own?

Does he understand basic stuff about ovulation/when to have sex/etc?

When you test, is he there with you waiting for the results or are you alone?

If there's a potential issue or a question about something related to TTC, does he take initiative to look it up or does it fall on you to learn everything and then tell him?

If you get a BFN, does he ask if you're okay and console you, or just act like it's no big deal?

Does he ask if you've started ovulating or started your period? Or when you can start testing?

My husband is asexual and has performance anxiety if I make too big a deal about anything and feels like it is his fault. So I try to keep quiet mostly and do all the testing and dirty work myself. I explain some of the science of ovulation and stuff so he doesn't just think we are broken, though. He had the idea since a lot of his friends got pregnant accidentally that it would be super-easy for us to try...... 7 months later he seems to think it is impossible for us lol.

When I say "ugh my period started..." he says something to the effect of "aww noo :(" though. He wants to have a kid but he thinks we will jinx it if we try too hard lol.

The only thing I don't let my husband deal with is the testing. I'm a POAS addict and I save him from that rollercoaster. Otherwise he knows my cycle aswell as I do.

Right now we're just learning about TTC so we're both learning. He's interested in figuring out ovulation and stuff. He's excited for us to start soon and he's doing all he can to learn about how to help the situation

My husband has become very involved over the last two months. On our 6th month trying, I was 6 days late and we thought it had finally happened for us, but then AF came. Neither one of us handled it well (sadness for me, anger for him) and it was a very emotional week or two. We had a good, long talk about going through it as a team afterwards and that's what we've done from here on out. He is constantly researching what exactly is happening in my body during my cycles and tips to help us conceive. He ordered Pre Seed to try this month and asks me how I'm doing/feeling constantly. We still haven't conceived and this TWW is killing us, but we are finally in it together and I couldn't thank him enough for that.

My fiancé is somewhat involved. And the only reason why he isn't fully is because he thinks stressing and over thinking something natural will throw us off. So he doesn't like that I am on the app every night for hours. I take the ovulation tests on my own and I log them and I tap them to a sheet to compare from last months and to keep check and he'll look at it every now and then. I told him about preseed and he went and bought it. He also ordered my TTCkit. I do all the research and we lay in bed at night and I give him the low down on what I've learned. So we are 50/50. But we are on month three and I've somewhat become consumed.

my hubby doesn't want it to feel like we are trying for him and just wants to have fun. I take care of most everything for the both of us lol he did enjoy using preseed though 😂
