What do you think?

So let's say a man commits a series of brutal murders. He gets caught by police and is involved in a chase. During the chase he gets into an accident that results in a coma. A few years later he wakes up from the coma and has amnesia. He seemingly doesn't remember his identity or his crimes. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch about his life prior to the accident.

Should this man still be charged, tried, and possibly imprisoned if found guilty?

If your answer is no, please comment what you think should be done.

Before answering, please remember that people can remember their old lives and make a full recovery. There are some who never remember, though.
