did I just fuck up my birth control ?

Last night I was about to take my birth control pill but it feel down in my boyfriends car. I couldn't get it. It was my 3rd last green pill. Since I lost it, I took the next one which was the second one and I'll take the last green one tonight. So then tomorrow I just start my whole new pack right ? Am I less protected because of this or will this throw off my period? I'm currently on day 3 of my period right now. Someone please let me know!

If it was one of the inactive pills then you should be fine, they are more of a reminder pill to take your pill everyday

You technically don't even have to take the placebo pills. They are just there to form the habit of taking one daily.

What brand are you using? In my pack, the green ones (the last week) are placebos so I don't take any of them.

I haven't been on the pill for quite some time, but if I remember correctly the last week of pills are just sugar pills since you should have gotten your period. I never took the last week of pills since I had my period.

Pro tip: birth control pills come in different colors. Its more important to know if it was an active or inactive pill than the color
