When did you go on maternity leave?

I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with my first child and I have become extremely tired and lazy. No matter how much sleep I get it just seems like it's not enough. I work full time in a preschool with 4 year olds and I'm contemplating only working for 6 more weeks before starting my maternity leave. For all the working mamas out there how many weeks were you when you started your maternity leave??

I taught full time until 39 weeks and then slept for a week and a half before my daughter was born 😂

I'll be on mat leave by 33weeks!  legally in canada you can go on mat leave 8 weeks before your due date

I worked up till the day I went into labor and just texted my boss I would not be in the next day. I only got 6 weeks so I wanted all that time with my son, but if you qualify for more time I think it's good to have a week before to rest and prep.

39+2 weeks. I am so glad I took a couple extra days before my due date. I was fading fast mentally and physically.

Im going on maternity leave at 34 weeks because they are planning for my delivery around 38 weeks. For california you get 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after.
