Basil body temps?

How do you record your bbt? Where do you buy the stuff for it? How does it work?i am thinking about trying to do bbt but I have never done it before so I don't know where to get the stuff or how it works or anything someone please care to explain?? I would much appreciate it.

Oh, I forgot to explain how it works. So your temps should be lower from cd1 until you ovulate. After you ovulate, your temp should go up. If you are pregnant your temp will remain high, if not it will go back down. You could see a 1 day drop in temp a few days after you ovulate if you have an "implantation dip" but not everyone who gets pregnant has that. Here's my chart from January. The cross hairs are the day fertility friend said I ovulated. ​

Buy a basil thermometer (I got mine on amazon, but any drug store would have them). Take your temp when you wake up before getting out of bed or moving around too much, and record in this app (and I log in fertility friend and the Selene app too). It's best to start in the beginning of a cycle, so try to wait until you get your period and start from there.
