Any ultrasound techs out there?

Hi everyone! I just went in for an ultrasound because I'm currently 3 weeks late and my pregnancy tests are reading negative.

There was a heartbeat during the ultrasound but the tech is not allowed to discuss anything until I see my doctor. I heard the heart beating at least 4 different times, is there any way possible that it was my heartbeat? Or is there definitely a bun in the oven?

Thank you everyone that took their time to respond 💞 The ultrasound tech didn't show me anything during the first abdominal ultrasound and that's when I initially heard the heart beating. It was very fast! When she did the transvaginal ultrasound she held the stick in one position and stayed steady there. I tried to see from the corner on the screen and I want to say I saw what it looked to be a sac and she then asked me to hold my breath about 3 times. And when I held my breath there was heart beating again very faintly in the background.

I have taken 3 blood tests all a week apart and negative every time. I've never missed a period in my life and I'm very consistent at keeping track. I'm not stressed at all and I'm having a lot of symptoms that didn't click until the days went by without a period. I've never been pregnant before so I don't know what I would feel like but I can say that my body feels different and there's something definitely going on.

I heard my baby's heartbeat at 6wks when I was in the hospital for threatened miscarriage. Try not to stress about it and see what the doctors say.

The heartbeat isn't ordinarily audible via ultrasound or Doppler until 9+ wks. Even then that's early to hear it.
You'll need to get the info from your doctor. If you watched the scan you would have seen a sac, yolk and tiny fetus with a tiny flickering hb.

I heard and seen my baby's heart beat on US at 6wk2d and again at 8wk1d... did it sound super rapid? When I listen with my home doppler, it sounds like baby is riding horses in there!

I didn't hear my baby heart beat tell after week 6. If the tech was near your overies then you where hearing your own heart beat. Did they not do a blood test to see if you were pregnant?

Was the heart beat really fast? If it was then it's likely a baby, your heart beat is a lot slower compared
