gestational sack no fetal pole?

Is it normal for my U/S to show a gestational sack but no fetal pole? I'm only 5 weeks, 5 days and he didn't seem concerned, just wondering if any of you experienced this.

Yep!  I went in at 5w2d to check for placement.  Sac measured at 5w5d but no fetal pole. Went back at 7w5d... baby was there with a great heartrate of 148bpm 💕. Common time for fetal pole to show is 6weeks and then should grow approx 1mm per day from there.

I recently had a scan at 6 weeks and only say the gestational sack she's told me to go back in 3 weeks. She said that you could be 2 weeks either side of the date you think you conceived it's weird. Many people who I have spoken to said if you don't have very severe cramps or bleed everything should be fine. And also a belly ultrasound isn't really good if your so early, someone I know had an internal one and she said you can see things better. Hope all is well x

Have you gone back for an ultrasound ? I went back one week later and we got to see this ! There was even a heartbeat. Good luck to you !

Yes!! At my 5 week ultra sound they only saw the sac and then at 7 weeks I saw the heart beat : )

That's exactly how mine was at 5w5d only a gestational sac. I go back Friday to see if everything is okay. I had a miscarriage a little over 2 months ago and I'm so scared . He put under my notes threatened miscarriage . I also have light spotting but it's only light brown that's been going on for almost 2 weeks now

I went in at 5w3d, thinking I was 6w3d. We only saw a gestational and yolk sac.. doctor told me it could just be an early pregnancy. I have had a miscarriage before so I was SO stressed out. Went back 4 days later and saw my baby with a heartbeat of 130! It's crazy what a difference everyday makes. Don't worry too much, everything will work out!
