high dose Amoxicillin

I have an ear infection and was prescribed 1000mg of amoxicillin 3x per day. I am very concerned that this is too strong of a dose even though it is a class B drug. Has anyone else taken this amount during pregnancy? I am worried about baby's gut health and my own, long term.... thank you for your comments!
