I went in for my first ultrasound and the doctor said that there was no fetal heartbeat and the baby is measuring around 6 weeks not 8.  He said either my dates for my lmp were wrong (which they weren't) and I'm really 6 weeks and that's why they had a hard time detecting a heartbeat  or I miscarried and didn't know.  I'm devastated right now at the thought of a miscarriage.  My hcg levels 4 weeks ago were consistent with being about 4 weeks along and I took a home pregnancy test right along that time too that was positive.  My gut tells me what the facts say, but there's a small hope, faith the size of a mustard seed that is praying for a miracle.  Has anyone gone through something similar?
