doctor tells me I am 'stuck' at follicular phase.
*long post, question in last sentence*
Hey girls! I had 2 shots of depo provera, so was on it for 6 months. It has been 9 months since my last shot. I know that it takes 6months-2 years for it to get out of your system, but me being me started to worry that I have not had my periods since so I went to the doctor. I had hormone blood tests, ultrasounds and everything is normal. My hormone levels are normal showing that the depo shot is 'out of my system'. However, due to the shot messing with your hormones, the doctor has told me that the tests show that my reproductive system is stuck at the follicular phase. Which is when the cervix? I think creates the little tiny follicles for the egg to move across safely to the uterus. My body is stuck at that so I can not menstruate and I cannot release eggs, and my uterine wall is very thin, too thin to even hold an egg if one were to be released. Anyway! Has anyone else been stuck at this phase, and how long did it take your body to exit this phase and either menstruate or ovulate?
Thanks!!
Was hoping to start trying for a baby this year but it looks like my body has other plans!!
