saw throat cures??

What do you all do to cure an awful saw throat? I don't have saw throats often but when I do they are AWFUL and it stops me from being able to speak

First id try  to identify what's causing them. Were you yelling or crying or exposure to super cold temps? Its more about learning to prevent or stop them so you won't have to treat symptoms and suffer...I notice when my nose runs a lot and I natural sniff or have that drainage it irritates my throat so I've tried to blow more and sniff less.,,just an example based on my experience

Get or make lemon ginger tea and add honey. Obviously make it hot. I felt better then next day.
