OB Coordinator??

Soon I will be scheduling an appointment with an OB Coordinator...anyone familiar with what happens at the visit? I've heard of women having to meet with one earlier on in their pregnancy but I'm almost 13 weeks. Enlighten me please? 🙏😊 just wondering what they do and what happens at those appointments. Thanks!

If it's a certified medical home office, they'll have a patient care coordinator. They do things like give information on birthing classes, set up your tour of the hospital, they can advise on diet and excercise during pregnancy. At least that's what I'm familiar with at my office. Usually it's an RN. 
Unless they are referring to someone in billing, then it might be to go over your insurance and discuss delivery and testing costs. I would just call the office and ask. ☺️

I had to meet with an ob counselor. She's over all the financial stuff,  deals with my insurance, helps me figure out what I have to pay, etc. Not sure if that's the same as what you're talking about but thought it might help!

I'd call back and ask these questions. I haven't heard of this, and I work in healthcare.
