Help, TMI.. hemorrhoid and pregnancy

I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and I have never experienced a hemorrhoid in my life although I do know what they are. It started three days ago and every time I use the bathroom it hurts. It hurts for about 30 minuets and stops until the next time I have to go and today when I wiped there was a decent amount of blood. My baby Dr isn't back in office until Monday and if it's still like this then I'll call. Is this normal? Again, I have never had one so I don't really know what normal is. Thanks for your response.
