box braids?

So I'm Dominican born and raised there I live in P.A now but I'm light skinned if I don't talk you would think I'm white I want to get box braids but I have seen so many light skinned girls get hate for wearing box braids bc only African Americans can wear them and I don't wanna go through that so what should I do

If you want them just get them! If anyone doesn't like them then it's their problem!

yeah that's cultural appropriation. don't do that.

It is cultural appropriation... if you're not black just don't do it and no one gets hurt. There are plenty of other styles and cuts you can get
