Anemic?

10wks and bloodwork is showing that I'm slightly anemic.. Totally explains my symptoms of fatigue, shortness of breath and paleness. Now my question is if anyone else is dealing with it and how are you coping? I just had my tests today and haven't had my follow up appts. I have kaiser and they email my results as soon as they're in.

I have had the same experience as you in my first pregnancy.  They will simply prescribe an additional iron supplement to take.  I was advised that's it's best to take with orange juice as it's easier to break down as calcium impedes the break down of iron.  My doctor wanted me to take it in the morning.  Also if you can, up your "greens" intake.  Eat things like spinach, kale, callaloo, even red meat has iron but I wouldn't recommend that more than once or twice a week.  I believe water melon also helps.  A quick google search will help you target those foods needed to increase your iron.

11 weeks tomorrow and I also found out I was slightly anemic a week ago. Have been taking iron supplements and omg I feel so much better. I was so extremely tired before that I could hardly function. Now I am feeling much more energetic.

Same happened to me with my first. Iron is a bit tough on our bellies, so take with a substantial meal.

I have an extreme case I normally register at a 6 (or lower) when I'm pregnant but my anemia is a called betathasemia & my body does not absorb iron properly so I can't even take iron :/ is okay though I've learned to deal. Try eating leafy greens & things like it sometimes it does help♡ hang in there you will be okay:)
