I got my positives with both pregnancies 5 days BEFORE my missed period with First Response tests. I tested in the morning starting at the 5 day mark and got my positives both times.!

You can start testing and have a high chance of getting an accurate results as early as 2 weeks after having sex. It can help to hold off until 3-4 weeks or when you miss your period, but that's your choice. Use your first pee of the day to further increase your chances of an accurate result (if pregnant, the HCG would be more concentrated meaning it be more likely to get you a positive result).
Personally, I would test at the 2 week mark, then again after 3 weeks if the first test was negative. It helps to test a few times to ensure you're not just testing too early if the first test comes out negative.
