guy advice

hey guys i need some advice. i was talking to this guy for a couple weeks until he got a girlfriend. i tried to get over him because he was a jerk but i still find myself attracted to him. a couple days ago he told me he broke up with her and regrets not going for me. he said when they were dating he still had feelings for me. now he wants to date me but i feel like im just his second choice. should i go for it?
