What would you do?

So I sold a box of clothes today that I listed for $40 online. The lady gave me $45 because she thought it was that much. I told her I was only asking for $40 so to keep the $5. My husband thinks I'm crazy and I should have taken it all lol. I just felt like being honest was the right thing to do. I know it's only $5 but maybe to someone else it makes a big difference. Anyway what would you ladies do?

I would assume felt they wanted to 'tip' almost like the clothes were worth more as the price would have been discussed previously. I wouldn't purposely think I'll keep quiet in case she doesn't realise. If you purposely think to yourself I hope they don't notice the overpayment then you know it's wrong.

I'm not for dishonesty or stealing. That, to me would be stealing and being dishonest.

I would hope that someone would be honest with me, if the situation were reversed. So I would do the same. Honesty is the only reason I would need, but additionally, to a lot of people, $5 isn't "mad money" to just throw away.

Sure...it's just $5, but I dont think $5 is wortt being dishonest over.

Oops I read that wrong. I thought she wanted to give you 45. I would accept it at the $40. Like its just 5 bucks. Its not gonna make a huge difference to you. If she wanted to give you the extra 5 bucks anyway i would accept bc i like to tip people. It makes me feel good
