random leg cramps and spasms?

I've been waking up the last few nights with random cramping in my calves. Anyone else is this normal? 🙁🤕

Gaterade or bananas. I've been having a little gaterade a day and that's helped so much! As well as drinking a lot of water.

Yeah, if I stretch too much, I get leg cramps, and it's more common these days.

Increase in leg cramps can be caused by dehydration (drink more water), not enough electrolytes/salts in your blood (mainly
If you've been sweating a lot), or other mineral deficiencies. Over stretching the muscle can initiate the cramp.

Things I've found that help;
• fresh 'lime' soda - fresh lemon, small amount of sugar, pinch of salt, soda water (or regular water)
• bananas
• soaking legs in warm water (or cold, if the weather is hot) and Epsom salts
• gentle leg massage to loosen the muscles before bed.

I woke up to a leg cramp this morning! I've usually been able to prevent them if I feel it coming by keeping my foot flexed. So this morning I sat up and placed my foot on the ground and it stopped right away.

I had them several nights in a row starting around 25 weeks. Would wake me up in the middle of the night because it hurts so bad... DRINK MORE WATER/gatorade! Eat a banana (potassium). Keep the fluid intake up and the cramps/spasms will go away. I started to do this and haven't had any problems since then.

Very normal. Make sure you are really hydrated and I notice a warm bath before bed or wrapping my legs up tightly help.
