why is he being a jerk? was I wrong?

I don't understand where my so gets off by saying I don't do enough, I wash all his clothes and fold/hang them.  I just deep cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. And tonight I reorganized our bedroom. He's cleaned the living room today and moved furniture around. And he came into the bedroom and tossed a box of food at me and said "youre cooking this" 
And I was like "EXCUSE ME?" 
He has never EVER talked to me like that. I do not take demands. If you want me to do something, simply ask. 
Then he stood there like "oh shit" and said "I said CAN you cook this" 
And I was like 😑😑 sure 
So anyways I get up and I had planned on vaccuming the bedroom real quick before I started cooking. It took me 5 minutes. The room isn't that damn big. I walk into the kitchen and he's cooking it and I'm like??? Why are you cooking this? "Because I've worked my ass off and then I cleaned my ass off and I ask you to cook and you start to vacuum instead and I'm fucking hungry. You don't do anything around here" and I was like "I didn't know it was an immediate request. Maybe you should learn how to communicate" and stormed off😡  am I wrong for vaccuming first?  I know this is stupid but he's making me feel like a piece of shit with this attitude he's got goin.

He sounds like my 6 year old. He expects me to drop what I'm doing when he wants something. Not only does that not happen it gets him an earful about how I don't exist to do his bidding. It wouldn't kill him to wait for you to finish what you were doing.

If that's out of character for him to behave like that he's likely upset about something else. Maybe try to talk to him and find out what that is. If he acts like that all the time, he sounds like kind of a dick, sorry.

"Hangry" is a real thing! Talk to him about his behaviour and ensure he knows you're not going to tolerate it. He's a big boy....if he's super hungry, and it affects his mood, he can make himself a damn snack until dinner is ready!

If it's out of character for him to speak to you so, I would guess something else is bugging him and his hunger and "issue" got the best of him.  Try and talk to him about the real issue. Make sure you also express that you didn't like being attacked or being dictated too. You are a team and that needs to be understood. What you do for him is a gift. I went in strike for a month. Didn't do anything but "my" stuff. It made an impacted.

Stop taking care of him if he's not going to appreciate what you do you. My response to him would be a grown ass working man is totally capable of feeding himself and if I choose to make you food, then you're damn lucky.

My hubby tried that shit once. So I only did for me and son. He changed his attitude quickly & hasn't complained since.

He's not a child and neither are you. If he was that hungry he could cook it himself. That's uncalled for and disrespectful. Tell him to eat a damn apple and calm down. It's good he cooked it himself. I wouldn't have after that obnoxious display.
