She is just checking up on you. She's your mom, some are probably upset that their mother doesn't come and check on them. And me, I just lost my mom a month ago and is now 38 weeks pregnant. I would give anything for my mom to check up on me. Be grateful you have someone who loves you enough to make sure your okay

I understand. I love my MIL, but she's also, understandably, very excited for her first grandchild, always checking up on me and telling me what to do and what not to do. Constantly asking if I've done this or that, because I should be doing this or that.
 
I absolutely love her, understand where she's coming from, and know she's well-meaning, but at times it gets very overwhelmingly stressful and frustrating since it's constant.

I have a similar problem my MIL calls me consistently throughout the day to see if there has been any change because she wants to be at the hospital (not her first grandchild). I have told her one is will call if anything changes that she doesn't need to call and bother me. I'm 37 weeks 3 days been in early labor since 36 weeks 5 days.

I voted yes it's annoying but at the Sam time it's something to appreciate. I don't live with my mom but the way she checks on me you would think I was her surrogate lbs. it was very annoying to me but I now understand that her baby is having a baby and she's just excited and worried at the same time. Just the other night I had really strong contractions throughout the night and just set in pain and then slept it off. Bright And early the next morning she was calling me, the first thing she said was what's wrong?? I said nothing why did you ask that? She said I had a dream u were crying out for me are you sure you're ok??? I told her yeah And that I had contractions that night!! It just amazed me that without me telling her that she knew something was wrong! From that day I just knew she was just really concerned and not trying to be annoying!! 💞💞💞💞💞

I've basically been told that I CANT handle a newborn and my 18 month old, so I WILL be receiving help. I was also laughed at for me saying I plan to taking my kids to the zoo about 4-6 weeks after she's born. I can't keep a toddler locked up forever. I was told I won't be able to do it, and I'm not being realistic. People just drive me nuts.

I get how you feel, I would tell her you won't be ok if she doesn't stop coming in. Of course I wasn't listened to when I was said I would do as much much as I'm comfortable with and if I need help I'll ask.
