miscarriage

I miscarried in the beginning of February, I stopped bleeding the 22nd of February. The doctors had said I would need to have a d and c. I chose not to hoping I could pass naturally due to no insurance and working long hours. I cannot afford to miss work at all. It is April 10th and I still have not gotten a period. Has anyone else went through something similar to this? Is there anything I can do about it? Do I absolutely have to get the procedure? Once I get my insurance straightened out I would like to try again for another baby but it's kind of hard to do that with no period. TIA
