Calling black girls chocolate, Nubian, mocha...

Last night my boyfriend said "good night my butterscotch queen". Well I told him it's rude to equate my color to any kind of food, and also compared his "nickname" to white guys calling black girls names like "mocha princess" and "Nubian queen" and that it was disrespectful to me.

Then this morning he sends me a screenshot of someone on The Get Down calling a girl his "Nubian queen". He said it was a weird coincidence and that it was sweet. Well I texted him back (I hope the picture uploads) and he tells me to ask this question on eve and see what everyone else thinks so my question is:

Do YOU think it's weird and disrespectful for boys/girls/anyone to call black girls/people names that include food, colors etc (like mocha queen, Nubian queen, chocolate princess, etc)
