Where to put my kids while in labor

Hi there Momas to be,
So I just moved to California (for my husband new job) and I'm almost 36 weeks. I don't have family around and don't know anyone in the area just yet! I'm realy worried about where to have the kids while I'm at the hospital ( 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl)!
Any suggestions or ideas are much appreciated as I'm currently looking into the option of delivering alone while my husband stays with the kids 😢

I got lucky, my mom gets here Thursday and she's staying with me until I deliver. She'll be with my four year old while I deliver so my husband can be in the room with me. 💙

I would look into maybe hiring a nanny for the few days. She can take them to activities and take care of them and stay over night if need be.

I would see if maybe you can find a daycare facility that has drop ins. Or maybe use a service like care.com to watch the kids. Good luck!

Do you have any family that would be willing to come to you and stay with your kids til you get out of the hospital??

My parents live 4 1/2 hours away and I have my mom on call so that as soon as I go into labor she heads this way so she can be in charge of our 6 year old daughter.  We are military so o know how it is not having anyone in town to help. I am lucky that we love close enough to have this plan. Hope you figure something out.

If we can't find anyone we're gonna see if s nurse will sit with our daughter while I'm giving birth, but afterwards she can stay with us in the room! I asked my dr if she could stay with us if we can't find an arrangement for her and he said we can! Sometimes the nurses if they're busy don't like that, but Idk why has nothing to do with them! lol because my husband not gonna leave my side!
