anyone not been offered the tDap vaccine?

Question

It's supposed to protect your baby from whooping cough and is usually administer from 28-36 weeks, I haven't been offered it and I'll be 36 weeks Sunday.. does that mean they'll give it to the baby directly after she's born? Isn't safer for her to get it through me that little?

Update: I asked for it and got it yesterday evening at the pharmacy at cvs, so far I feel fine and baby is kicking away lol

I didn't get it at all with my first and won't be getting it this time either. My doctor said she doesn't advise giving it to pregnant women or women who plan to breastfed.

I'm not getting it. I talked with my doctor and he said it's up to me but he doesn't push it on his patients. I'm so thrilled he doesn't push it cause i didn't want to be in an awkward situation cause I knew I was going to refuse it either way. Do your research and decide what's best for you - I won't be the one to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do.

My MIL is a retired nurse of 45 years and couldn't believe they even offer it to pregnant women. She said DO NOT get it while pregnant. Too risky.

My doc had me get it at 28 weeks. My hubby is getting it on Thursday, and we have notified our family to get theirs too

I had mine and so did my husband, all the doctors and nurses are stressing the importance of it for anyone who is going to be around the baby

Mine didn't offer it at all and I'm now 37 weeks. So I guess I won't be getting it. .

I did get asked I think twice and I pushed off to be nice but I knew I didn't want it. At my last appointment at 32 weeks they didn't even ask so I'm hoping they just don't anymore
