Spotting or period

I have very irregular cycles sometimes going 6+ months without one and sometimes I Will ovulate and ovulate and sometimes I won't at all. I ovulated twice in march (using opks) didn't have my period then Friday morning I started spotting. Was hoping it was a good sign of implantation but a couple hours later it turned into a full blown period flow but was way heavier than my normal cd 1. All day Saturday it was like a period flow but very lighter than normal and Sunday through today Tuesday has been very light spotting. It's been a very weird period if it even is. I have no idea what's going on this has never happened. All I know is this is not normal to me and hubby doesn't know what to think either. Please help, advise or anything
