congested? no humidifier

Recently my daughter breathing has been sounding really mucosy I tried to see if there was any snot with an aspirator but nothing was there . I can't really afford a humidifier right now what else can I do?

You can take her into the bathroom, shut the doors, and run a hot shower until the bathroom gets steamy. I did it with my son when he had a cold and it seemed to help him.

Vicks on her feet with socks. A hot steamy shower with mom. Menthol baths for her. Saline nose drops. Elevate her bed. Feed her at a inclined position. My son has seasonal allergies. I'm the queen of snot

I never used a humidifier. We just kept his nose clean as much as possible and gave him Motrin when he seemed to be feeling sick on top of the stuffy nose.
