Too much breastmilk?

Is there such thing as bottle feeding a breastfed baby with too much breast milk? Iv been told a breastfed baby should not get more than 4 oz at a time... Is this true? Any experienced mamas have any input?

You can't overfeed on breastmilk even with a bottle. As long as you have enough milk, feed the baby as much as it seems to want! Every baby is different and drinks different amounts at different times. Mine likes to drink lots in the morning and then less in the afternoon.

Doc told me that as long as baby isn't spitting up, pushing up milk or spitting bottle out its safe to feed as much as they want.

You can't over feed with breas feeding. On the other hands chances to over feed with bootle are higher, bc you tend to finish the bottle.

4 oz is pretty normal up until about 6 months. My son ate 4 oz even at a month. But you can over feed with a bottle. As long as baby isn't spitting up, though, it's fine.

I always ont fed my baby 4oz at a time so he wouldn't want more than I produced. Also my son was EBF until daycare recently. But if you're producing a lot and your son wants it I would go for it.

Baby will eat what they want. My son will down 4oz at night feedings during the day he eats every 1-2hrs 1-2oz. Sometimes 3
