my birth story

On tuesday June 21 I labored at home all night . My contractions started that night around 11pm. They were about 10 minuets apart , they were painful but bareable. They got intense as the night continued and I finally was able to go to bed early morning around 5am on June 22. My spouse wakes up for work at 7am every morning and I tend to wake up with him . He left for work that morning around 7:45 and I tend to use the bathroom in the mornings, take a shower then eat breakfast . Well not that morning instead I used the bathroom (pee) and when I went to wipe a big glob of mess was on my tissue(mucus plug) . I was so grossed out. I sent a picture to my mom who worked over nights and just got off of work and she texted back "it's go time ". Little did ik it was go time. I immediately thought to myself I'm gonna get up , shower and put our hospital bags by the front door. As I went to stand up my water broke and was everywhere. Immediately contractions started to where I could no longer move and was stretched out on my bathroom floor. I called my mom to rush from work and get here. I left out that I kept my 3 year old sister that night . When my mom arrived I couldn't open the door for her so she had to call the apartment Managment to let her in. She came scooped me up and we rushed to the hospital. I was placed in a triage room to make sure I was in active labor and that it was in fact my water and o course I was 5.5cm dialated and 100% effaced.Mean while my mom called up my spouse and let him know to leave work. I arrived at the hospital around 8:45 and labored until about 12pm. I was then 8cmand could no longer take the bouncing of the ball and the labor pool so I chickened out and got the epidural. 30 minuets later I was ready to push. I pushed for 3hrs before my little bean was born at 3:57pm. He was 8pound.9 ounces . And now he will soon be one and I am pregnant with baby #2 and cannot wait to experience labor this time around.
