March 27 2017 What Dreams Are Made Of

On Monday March 27 2017 Husband was suppose to get on the road he drives trucks... I was stressing... I knew if he left he would miss our daughter birth... He decided to wait until after my appt. To leave...Went in for my weekly appt. At 38 weeks and 5 days... We were 5 to 6 cm dilated... Due to my midwife being considerate to our situationshe, she decided to send me to labor and delivery to get the show on the road... At 11:30am we drove a hour to the house to gather our bags and pick kids up from school... I had really mild irregular contractions during this time... Arrived at hospital at 2:30pm... Midwife arrived at 3:30pm... She checked my cervix again and I was 6 to 7 cm so we decided to break my waters... I walked the halls and used my birthing ball to help move baby down... Contractions got a little stronger and were still not regular... At around 5:30pm out of nowhere the contractions hit hard... I could no longer tolerate walking nor the ball... I tried to lay down and the pains were so intense I tried on my knees Nothing seemed to work... Buzzed nurse so I could get in the bath in hopes of relieveing the pain... She wanted to moniter the baby for a few minutes and check my cervix again... I was 8 to 9cm... Needless to say no bath for me... She paged my midwife and By the time she arrived it was time to start pushing at 6:03pm by 6:13pm my beautiful baby girl arrived... I had hoped to go into labor on my own at home with this baby... Due to the fact that I was induced with all 3 of my boys... Although I had was water broke I am very happy that I did not need any pitosin this go round... That I had the natural labor I always wanted and the fact that my 14 yo son and 7 yo step daughter was there to witness the miracle of life...
