birth classes/parenting classes?

So I'm a first time mom and I want to take these classes because I think they'd be beneficial, however, my boyfriend is not able to get the days off and all of the classes offered interfere with his work schedule. I don't have any friends or family in state (we just moved 9 months ago) and not having a support person with me is super discouraging. Should I stop being so dependent and go by myself or will I be wasting time and money?
