IUD Help!!!

So I'm only 16, but there is a teen clinic that provides birth control for minors. I went & told them I'd rather have the paraguard because it has no hormones and it lasts 10-12 years. I also have Bipolar Depression. My sister (she's 22) has the paraguard & told me it hurt like hell but she loves it. The nurse reccomends the Mirena rather than the Paraguard. She told me it has less hormones, but may make your period come light or no periods at all. She also said for both it would make it easier if I had ever had children. The nurse had given me information on the Mirena. But I wanted to know anyone's experience they've had with the Paraguard or Mirena. How it worked for them. It would help a lot. Thanks!
