TTC after d&c

I had a miscarriage and then had to have a d&c done about a week ago. This is the 2nd one in a year. My husband and I are ready to start trying again but my doc said that I have to wait 2 weeks before having sex. Has anyone here waited those 2 weeks before trying again? Him and I are ready to start trying and really don't want to wait any longer. Any advice/suggestions/input would be appreciated!
