Can PCOS Clear Up On Its Own???

Chelssie
I was diagnosed two years ago at 19 with PCOS, when I noticed the birth control pills I was on were not feeling right for my body. Went to get something new and after a series of tests, PCOS was seemingly the culprit. I was not actively trying to conceive, but instead of getting on a new birth control, I tried the metformin route, to see if I could get the syndrome under control. Did NOT work. I don't have the major PCOS symptoms, all I have is cystic ovaries and irregular menstration. Finally after almost if a year of metformin, I decided to give up. I've been birthcontrol free, and medication free for almost a year or so now. Magically, my periods come every month, down to the exact day I expect them. My question here is can PCOS clear up on its own? Can I have regular periods and ovulate without intense medical treatment? Is there hope for a future of natural pregnancies? Also, I haven't really done any lifestyle changes. In the last five months I've lost about 20 pounds, but my periods became regular before the weight loss.
