#of times baby breast feeds a day???

How much are you guys nursing your 8 month olds now? Mine still nurses 3-4 hours during the day and I'm wondering if that's to much...

I nurse about every 3 hours during the day, she sleeps through the night. I am a bit confused as to how much is needed now as my daughter never demands nursing (never has) so I am in the habit of offering every 2.5 hours.

My almost 8 month old breasfeeds every 3-3.5 hours during the day, most days. It'll occasionally go 4 hours. At night her last nursing time is around 11 and then usually not again til 6am.

Mine still nurses about every 2--3 hours during the day and about every 4 hours at night. He also gets oatmeal cereal when he wakes up and has puréed food for his lunch and STILL nursing every 2 hours before and after that. I think it's a bit much but I feed on demand. He sometimes nurses for about 7 mins total and stops when he's full. So far he's right where he needs to be growth wise. So I just continue what I'm doing. FTM here so I'm figuring it out as I go lol.

We are still at every 3- 4 hours as well. Plus, she gets food 3 times a day. Usually, she sleeps 12 hours at night and wakes up twice to eat. So... about 6 times a day? I feed on demand, so the every 3- 4 hours are her big feedings. She still might snack in between. It does seem like so much.
