I've had a sore throat for about a week now, and went to the doctor today. She asked me if I had any other symptoms, I told her that I started coughing a bit this morning, but it hasn't really been an issue. She prescribed me Tessalon Perles (benzonatate). I looked it up and it's a medicine for cough, which is not my issue. I can barely eat because of my throat, and I was hoping to get something that would actually help it go away. Has anyone used benzonatate for sore throat successfully? Thank you!
