storks... myth?

We all know that it's a belief that storks mean that there is going to be new baby soon. Well, around thanksgiving 2016, my husband pointed out a stork flying by. A few days later his older sister announced she was expecting. Today, he saw another stork and pointed it out. His sister was trying then and we are trying now. I hope it's not a myth. Does anyone else believe the "story"?
