Is waiting just one cycle safe?

I had a d and c in January and just got my first af yesterday. Me and my husband are really wanting to try again right away but I want to be sure we are safe. My doc said to wait 3 cycles but I have heard many have only needed to wait one. Anyone have experience with this?

After my D &C, we waited for my period, and then started TTC right away. We were successful getting pregnant the second cycle of trying. There really is no medical reason to wait according to my obgyn so it seems like it's entirely up to you. Only 4 weeks along with this pregnancy but trying to stay positive. Good luck to you!!

Maybe each case is different, but my doc said go ahead right away.

My OB said wait one cycle for dating purposes. I got pregnant before my first cycle and they dated the pregnancy anyway.

My gyne also said 3 cycles. I figured I should listen to a specialist that knows what she's talking about instead of taking decisions myself. I also saw different doctors have different opinions as well. I would always just listen to my doctor's advice   I know 3 cycles can seem like a long time. We have one left and it flew by. Besides it gives you time to heal emotionally as well. A next miscariage is always a posibility and you want to be mentally prepared

My doc said that if we got pregnant before 2 cycles that it was fine but that we couldn't go back on the femera until after 2 cycles.
